How to Raise Terrible Children
by Becky Melendez
1. Make sure your child has everything you never had.
2. Don’t bother teaching them etiquette. Manners are for grown ups, so, allow them to fully express emotions without any restraint, beginning in infancy.
3. Allow them to watch as much TV as they want and trust them to watch whatever they desire.
4. Never force them to go to youth group or church. If they don’t want to go, just let them stay home.
5. Trust them to go wherever they please.
6. Never question their choice of friends.
7. Never restrict their bedtime or give curfews.
8. Never hinder their schedule with any chores.
9. Always give them freedom to quit what they start.
10. Give them freedom to roam the streets whenever, wherever, and with whomever they please.
11. Buy them everything they want as soon as it comes on the market, so they won’t be embarrassed by not being in the “in” group.
12. It is not necessary to go to their games and activities all the time. Just explain how busy you are.
13. Let them join every group and participate in every activity they want and run yourself ragged playing taxi driver.
14. Leave them alone for hours with no chores so they can wind down and have fun in the house by themselves.
15. Let them keep their room a mess. It’s their room they can keep it however they want.
16. Always clean up after them.
17. If your spouse is correcting your children, and you disagree with what they are doing make sure and let them know what you think in front of the children.
If you faithfully do these things, you are guaranteed to have more than your share of heartache, trouble, and broken relationships.

left to himself brings shame to his mother. Proverbs 29:15
