Jose and Marylu De la Torre

Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico

Jose and Marylu are founders and pastors of Centro Evangelistico de Agua Prieta (Evangelism Center of Agua Prieta).  They started in 1983 with a Boys Club and now have the largest church in the area. Their hunger for the Lord, faithfulness, pastor’s heart and multiple talents have generated a productive church, full of the glory of the Lord. They have outgrown their present facilities, purchased 4 city blocks, and are well under way in building an entire new ministry facility.

Jose and Marylu are the first pastors from Mexico introduced to Calvin and Barbara. Since that introduction in September 1985 they have continued to support the FMI vision in helping to open doors into the communities and culture of Mexico.

They have two grown sons and two granddaughters.

That they will have the anointing of the Holy Spirit to push back and destroy the works of Satan in the name of Jesus.

That they will have health and well being to follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit.

That they will be blessed with the operation and manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit.

That they will have sufficient finances and dependable equipment.

That they will have contact and good relations with key people.

That they have grace and favor from local and national government officials.

a. Monthly financial support.

b. A vehicle or a better vehicle suitable for rough terrain.

c. Funds to purchase or finish parsonage.

d. Funds to finish church building or to purchase land to begin building.
