Mario Rivera
Teonadepa, Sonora,
Mexico

In 1990 Pastor Mario was
put in jail by religious Zealots to prevent construction of his
Christian Church. By the intervention of the Holy Spirit, the Lord sent
an old friend of high political influence and secured his liberty and
permit to build as planned. Mario then founded and built the beautiful
church Victoriosa en la Fe (Victorious in the
Faith) in 1993. It is a beautiful building that stands out in their
community as a testimony to faith at work. Mario is continually at work
in his community introducing people to Jesus and praying for the sick. Mario and his wife Maria
have seven children and many grandchildren.
