Hawaiian Missions Team June 2006

Pastor Terry Meechan brought their youth from Kona Faith Center, in Kona, Hawaii. This is the 5th time we have hosted teams from their church. They are no longer, visitors, they're family. The reunions we have with them are pure joy.
.

For the first time with their team we were able to do programs in the public schools in Jecori and Cumpas. The teachers and the students loved it. They did drama, dances: hula, hip-hop, rap, singing and even hula lessons. They also played ball with the kids. It was an awesome cultural exchange that glorified God.

On the Saturday they arrived our people of FMC prepared a Luau feast for them and the Hawaiians provided the entertainment. The next morning they ministered in our service in Douglas and then we traveled to Nacozari where we had an anointed service with the De La Parra's.

The next four nights we were in Tepache with the new pastors Rodrigo and Olga Suja. The services were well attended and anointed. Everyone was encouraged.
Pastor Oscar and Griselda and their people joined us each night in Tepache. On Friday we went to Divisederos and the Tepache people joined us there. There was an awesome move of the Spirit among our team and the local congregation.

The youth counted some Christmas toys and learned what it's like to be covered up with toys. (A happy experience we often have.)
Our granddaughters, Rachel and Jewel put together a Mexican dance to add a bit of local spice to the program.
Isaias and Emma Martinez, the new pastors in Moctezuma, also traveled with us for two nights. They are totally precious.
The team did a one day children's program in Teonadepa with pastor Mario Rivera.
It was truly a sweet and happy reunion with everyone.
Well almost everyone.
