Movin’ On Up in Nacozari, April 2004

Well, the flimsy, temporary roof over the Nacozari Church did all
right until a real storm blew in. Now there’s no choice but to do it
right. Sometimes we make our decisions based on what we see (in the
pocket book) rather than true faith.
Praise the Lord for Fickett Ministries and Faith Community Church of
Tucson, along with workers from Faith Ministries, whose work teams and
offerings brought encouragement for Pastor Juan and his congregation.
As
you can imagine by these photos, the storm did a lot of damage to the De
La Parra’s personal things and church ministry supplies.
We
see the natural church building in Nacozari as a type of the spiritual
building. The foundation is extra deep and strong. It is a testimony to
the town that we have rooted in and are building to last. The building
process has been slow and expensive. Taking the spiritual ground here
has been a struggle against the forces of darkness. There has been a
great price to pay.

Now
the new roof will match the strength and quality of the foundation. The
steel and structure are more than strong enough to support the roof. Our
Almighty, the Lord of Hosts is more that enough to cover us. We are
under the shadow of the almighty.
