Dear Partners,
Jesus boldly said in His first published sermon of Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” Jesus has never changed! He is forever anointed to do the same.
Calvin just returned from Moctezuma where for the first time ever the city gave the church permission to do a meeting in the central plaza. When Pastor Isaias Martinez went to ask the mayors permission, he said, “I’ll give you permission to use the plaza if you’ll pray for me.” Isaias layed hands on him and prayed then and there. As Sister Belen Teran and Rita led the praises of God it was as if the angels were singing proclaiming Jesus as Lord over the city. People were saved and healed. Hallelujah! Isaias invited Evangelist Rod McLain from Tulsa to preach. Scott Green, also from Tulsa and Pastor Tim Jerry from Wisconsin, along with Calvin, Ruben and Bill from Douglas joined the Moctezuma church to minister to their community. The Kingdom of God has advanced to a new level in Moctezuma!
The same week Bob Scott coordinated a mission team from John Smithwick ministries. They did a city wide crusade in Guaymas, Sonora. It was Faith Ministries’ first time to do an outreach on this scale. It was a glorious success with 3,000 people saved, numerous healings, miracles, and divine appointments. The body of Christ grew, and relationships were strengthened and new ones formed. The pastors there are asking Bob to bring El Shaddai to Guaymas.
We hear the Spirit of the Lord declaring to us from Isaiah 54: 2-3, “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited.”
We so want to thank you for the fact that as a partner of this ministry, the poor have the Gospel preached to them, the broken hearted are healed, the deaf hear and the blind see and the captives are set free. When we preach the Gospel to them, we literally see with our eyes a change on the countenance of their face. THAT IS WHAT JESUS IS ABOUT!!! Healing a life from the inside out!
What an honor it is, to work together with our partners in the harvest fields!
In His Fields,

El Shaddai Report
Bacoachi, the town that waited 359 years for its first full time missionary pastor: Abel Rodriguez (center photo to the left, with Bob and Miki) is a spring 2006 graduate of Instituto El Shaddai de Obregón. He is 25 years old, a musician and has been faithful to his home church.
Bobby found him a nice 3 bedroom house. It is fully furnished and the owner asked that he pay what he can. That’s the favor of God! It was also a miracle as there just are not any houses for rent there, because of a new mine opening up. Abel is in need of financial support. He needs a minimum of $250.00 per month for a minimum commitment of 1 year to supplement his present income.
The De La Parra's started the work there with the first Christmas program three years ago. We have continued to do Christmas programs and other special events there. Pastors Juan and Maria, though 2 hours away, have discipled the new believers. Pastors Ruben and Maria have also been working part time there for the past year.
It is wonderful to finally have someone living there full time feeding the sheep and evangelizing. We have every confidence in Abel’s integrity and willingness to be used by God in this capacity. Bob just preached the graduation service in El Shaddai de Navojoa. El Shaddai now has 194 graduates. Bob and Miki regularly meet with the graduates in the different areas; seeing to their well-being, praying with them, encouraging them and reminding them of our covenant love toward them.
Beans and Rice

We send a special thank you to Angus Campbell for bringing 7,000 lbs. of beans and rice from Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM. Hundreds of people will be blessed throughout the year by this special gift.
Something Happened to Me
On the Way to the Cross
By: Calvin Lee Scott
When I had heard it was there, He was dying for me,
I knew I must see, if it really were He,
And something happened to me, on the way to the cross.
My heart had been cold to the stories He told,
But my spirit did cry for the truth to unfold.
As I grappled my way, through the crowd and the throng,
I begin to believe that my heart had been wrong.
As I followed His path, drops of His blood at my feet,
Something happened to me, on the way to the cross.
Then at the crest of the hill they call ole’ Calvary,
I saw, yes, it was He who was dying for me.
As He looked in my face, there He showed me God’s grace.
Then I fell on my knee, at the foot of that tree,
For something had happened to me, on the way to the cross.
There I began to believe, and my heart was set free,
For I knew that God’s Son, was there dying for me.
For my sins He did pay, and for all of yours too.
Just ask Him to forgive, all the sin in your heart,
And something will happen to you, on the way to the cross.
