Teonadepa Youth for Jesus

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

Hi, my name is Calvin Lee. I’m the little boy that lives in an old preacher. Sounds like whether or not I get a gift this year depends on whether I’ve been a good boy or not. Well, your system isn’t working very good, because I always get one anyway. But that’s alright because that makes it more like God’s gift system.

You see He gives to good boys and bad boys too, because He wants to make sure they get something they don’t even deserve. That’s just the way He is. In fact, in II Corinthians 5:19 NLT He says, For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

He even sends us out to the wildest places to help Him look for these bad boys. It’s because the gift He has waiting for them cost a lot and He doesn’t want it to sit around and not benefit anyone.

If you’re wondering what this gift is, I’ll tell you, even though it may not work for you because they say you’re not for reals. It’s important for everyone to know about God’s gift so they can decide whether to receive it or not.

God’s gift is His life-giving Word, that came to earth in the form of a baby about 2,000 years ago (that’s even before you were born.). This baby is really special because He was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of a virgin named Mary. She’s the most special woman in all the world. A bright scary angel told Joseph (that’s the guy that finally married her), that the baby was from God Himself and should be named Jesus. The name Jesus means Savior, and everybody needs one of those. Then He told him the baby would be a fulfillment of an old prophecy and one of His names would be Emmanuel which means God with us.

If your wondering why the baby has so many names, I think it’s because He got so big and powerful that He needs a lot of names to explain Himself. I have a lot of names too; it just depends on who’s talking about me.

Well anyhow, all this came up because it’s Christmas time and now is when we have to go find those bad boys and offer them their gift. I reckon it’s about time for you to go do your job too, so be careful, some of those chimneys are still hot!

Trying to be good,

Calvin Lee

P.S. Oh, yeah, I was just thinking, if you really are for reals, you better read this right away, because you’re looking really old.

For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NLT

Missions Trip

See photos on Facebook. Aribabi

October 15-22 we hosted a mission team from around the country: Pops and Vi from NC, Dale, Connie, Alan and Debbie from IL, Leon, Virgil, and Melvin from OK, and Bob from NM.

During the day some of the men painted the new ceiling in Jecori, while the rest of us filled 3,000 Christmas bags for the Cumpas area.

Each night we ministered from town to town in Cumpas, Nacozari, Moctezuma, Divisederos, and Jecori. Each night was powerful, with unusual and various manifestations of the Holy Spirit presence in each place.

On Wednesday we traveled three hours up in the mountains to the town of Aribabi where Patricia and Andrea Perez are starting a new church.

We spent the day with them, praying over the property, having a lovely meal and service in the back yard of a new believer. The people were like sponges, soaking up God’s Word and Presence.

The church in Aribabi is in need of financial help in their construction of the new church. This is good ground to plant your seed.

Teonadepa Youth for Jesus

Ruben, Ivan, Maria and Lucy Serrato

On October 15th Ruben and Maria Serrato hosted an all day youth event at Pastor Mario Rivera’s church in Teonadepa.

Pastor Luis Michel brought his music team from Agua Prieta and Pastor Juan De la Parra from Nacozari also helped. Seventy teens attended. There was a powerful move of God’s Spirit.

This new generation is catching a fresh wave of God’s glory. Hallelujah!
