Rod Mclain Ministries mission trip.
News from Ruben Serrato.
Dear Friends,
This month’s letter to you conveys our warmest heartfelt Holiday Greetings. All Holidays being important, the most important to us as Christians should be Christmas. The thing that sets the birth of Jesus apart is our belief that His birth was a spiritual, supernatural event that took place in our physical, natural world.Matthew 1:18-23 declares, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins,” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
To the agnostics, atheist, and unbelievers, Christmas is no more than the time of year when people spend too much money and drink too much alcohol.
As born again Christians, believing in the supernatural birth of Jesus should be easy, because we have had a live birth supernaturally take place in our very innermost being.
Let’s make a quality decision this Holiday Season to highlight the birth of Jesus among all the other activities. Our personal testimony of what Christ has done for us will help enlighten unbelievers to the great truth of Christmas. As you share your faith, also share what God is doing to reach the lost through Faith Ministries. The more people participating in our Christmas outreaches, the more souls will be won for Christ as we go teaching the story of His supernatural birth.

By the Skin of His Teeth
T he week of October 22nd we hosted the annual Rod McLain Ministries mission trip. This year’s group was most evidently hand picked by the Holy Spirit. Six churches were visited by a spirit of encouragement. A number of new converts were made as they accepted the Lord Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. Many were baptized in the Holy Spirit and others rec eived healings and deliveranc e.
The most notable blessing was the number of elderly who were born again. Seems most every time the fellows made a trip to the lumber store for supplies or to the arroyo to haul gravel, they would return with a new report of some elderly man or woman along th e way receiving Christ.. There was a very strong anointing to reach the elderly. With each report I could hear, in my memory my dear dad saying, “”at his age, he just made it in by the skin of his teeth, but I’m glad he made it in.”
The women prayed over and filled Christmas bags, and with that mini stry many more good reports will come. Even though the Christmas emphasis is toward children, each household represented will receive a powerful Gospel tract that can guide all ages to the great salvation so rich and so free. To God be the glory!
Greetings from
Ruben and Maria
M aria Luisa and I are so grateful for your faithfulness in giving from your hearts. You have most definitely gone with us to every pueblo, every person who has received their salvation, their healing, their deliverance and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, goes to your heavenly account.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:20, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth not rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.”
In Matthew 24:14 Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.”
No matter how little or how great the gift, God honors the gift. For every seed that is planted will produce after their kind, some 30, some 60, and some 100 and their kind in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost to the Glory of God the Father. My beloved brothers and sisters, you have much fruit in Mexico, and your fruit, the Lord said, shall remain. Thank you for sending your love gift for the furtherance of the kingdom. Please forgive me, Ruben, for not writing to you sooner and more often.
On Saturday November 3, 2007, I and others graduated from Bob and Miki Scott’s El Shaddai Institute. It was like heaven on earth, a time of refreshing and rest in the Lord. And I highly recommend this course to everyone including pastors. These classes were without a doubt God sent for us. The classes were taught here at Faith Ministries Church in Douglas, the things I caught in the Spirit, the revelations of the Word of God. It’s like receiving new equipment. I looked up the word equipment in the Webster’s dictionary. Equipment means: supplies and tools needed for a special purpose.
We love you so, so much!
For the furtherance of the kingdom,
