Happy New Year

Dear Friends,

So, here’s the deal, it’s mid December and I’m supposed to write something timely for you all to read the 1st of January. It would help if I could read your future or be a prophetic seer. However, I do know someone who has a perfect tract record of predicting accurately and He always prophecies absolute truth.

By the way, His Spirit lives inside of me, with my spirit, so you may just get something out of this yet. One thing for sure, we really want you all to know how much we appreciate all you have done this past year, and for many of you that includes many years past.

Our records in review are definitely heart-humbling, tearjerkers, as we realize the unwavering faithfulness of people like you. Grant it, all glory goes to God. Being surrounded by the faithful is something else God glories in and we do too. He must be so proud of the obedient senders who are putting faith and finances into those who are called to carry His message of love and hope to a very needful world.

Back to the future, (now I’m sounding like a movie) I predict January will have its fill of gloom and doom prophets with their ear-tickling predictions. In the midst of all that, keep this in the corner of your heart, because I know it is something you can count on.

Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Alternatively, persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long: we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet amid all these things we are more that conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, or angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 AMP

I further predict that God’s law of sowing and reaping will be ever more evident in 2011. The events in satan’s world will directly reflect the sin man has been sowing and the miracles of blessings falling on the worldwide church will reflect the all-powerful Word of God that Christ’s ambassadors are sowing. As we enter the New Year, let’s determine to focus on the Lord’s field and farm with all heart.

We love you, we need you, and we pray the will of God will reign richly in your lives this coming New Year.

Happy New Year,

Calvin and Barbara

From the mailbag:

I just wanted to tell you folks how much we love you all. You are still very present in our prayers and we appreciate getting your newsletters and email. We pray that you have a great Christmas season. This (Christmas in Mexico) is still one of the fondest memories of our family. GB Kelowna  BC

One of the things I am thankful for is my relationship with you. The times we have spent together are among the most precious moments of my life. I am thankful for your infectious love for the Mexican people and the relationships we have with those Mexican people because of that love. You have enriched my love in many ways for which I am grateful. There are so many things that I am thankful for because of you; some of which include my son walking in the call on his life and the same for his wife, the passion that our people have for missions, getting to know your son and his wife, Holy Ghost laughter, encouragement, friendship, passion for prayer, and the list goes on. Thank you for who you are. J.M. Kealakekua HA
