Under the King's Command

July 2008 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

I do not pray for an old fashioned revival, rather I pray for a revival of the manifestation of God that never goes out of fashion. In other words, in reality, we don’t want revival at all, because nothing of God really ever died. I know this sounds like a play on words and words are certainly relative to how we use them.

According to Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, therefore there’s nothing in Him to revive. Now, let’s become aware of the fact that His never dying life resides in our very innermost being.

Maybe a better use of words would be to say, “Let’s have an awareness, rather than let’s have a revival. He is so very alive and ready to instantly be included in every need we have and everything we do. When a Christian becomes aware of His presence, His purpose, His will, and the power of His Word,  the result is personal revival.

This is a necessary ingredient for world evangelism.  Here at Faith Ministries we are having an awareness revival.

We are aware of God’s presence in us individually and corporately. Aware of His will and purpose for our lives and aware of the power of His Word when empowered by the Holy Ghost. Possibly the most important awareness being the revelation that all of these things are within us; His residence within us.

This is bringing us to a place of seeing God and His purpose more clearly and much closer to home, rather than seeking the manifestation of God from out there somewhere. The potential of a willing and obedient Spirit filled Christian is unlimited. Glory to God!

For us the awareness revival is making world evangelism more exciting than ever. One last thought on awareness: God has always seen clearly His purposes, and world widerevival is not waiting on Him, it’s been waiting on us as Christians, to become aware of His purposethrough us.

Get on this horse (message) and ride hard, for a lost and hopeless people await you.

Finally, be aware that your support in prayer and finances is a vital ingredient in our capacity to pursue His will. For no ministry in the last 6,000 years has ever existed apart from supporters like you.

Alive in Christ,

Calvino

By the Spirit
Exhortation from Ruben Serrato

We cannot minister to people according to our past experiences or our opinions. It is by the Spirit that we are able to minister that precise word that can change a life. It’s only by the Spirit, for He knows the root of the problem. People’s behaviors can sometimes mislead you, because of the front they put on. It’s all just a front, it’s a crying out, a cry for help. Deep down on the inside of them, they know, but have somehow covered it up. Like a guard around their heart, a guard of protection, afraid of being hurt again. Only the Holy Spirit knows the real problem in people’s lives. We can sometimes mislead people when we try to minister according to what we see, know, and hear, and experiences, or opinions.

It’s by the Spirit, always, in every circumstance and situation. We must be led by the Spirit. Wait on the Lord, wait and see what should be said or done.  It’s as He wills, and it’s a new thing, different, unique and it’s the answer.  The Lord will move on behalf of just one person. He is moved with compassion when someone cries out to Him in faith. Like the woman with the issue of blood, Jarius, blind Bartemeas, and others.

He is not moved with any set plan of man. Isaiah 55:9 tells us, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Yes, He can stop and interrupt any time, because it’s as He wills. He walks among the people, and He always moves according to His Word, with compassion.

Nacozari, Sonora

Juan and Maria De la Parra recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful time with a strong anointing of the prophetic word of the Lord coming forth.

Juan and Maria founded their church in Nacozari 10 years ago. It was a giant step of faith for them as well as all of us who partner with them.

As they turned on the light of the Gospel in one of Sonora's darkest cities, the magnitude of the challenge became more and more clear. They have stood in faith against seemingly insurmountable odds. The firmness of their founding and their unshakable commitment has produced a strategic work of God for the territory.

About 8 years ago, in order to save paying rent, they moved their family of 6 into the nursery of their unfinished church edifice. There they presently reside in very cramped quarters.

The need of a real family home and church growth crowding into their space has come to a “this has got to change” situation. They recently received an offering for the first blocks to begin construction on an adjacent parsonage, which they proceeded with and went as far as that money allowed. They are saving pennies in anticipation of the next phase for their needed home.

Our desire is to get behind them with funds and workers so they can get the job done and move in. If you as an individual, business, or church want a piece of this God ordained action, please contact us and we’ll do our part to help you do your part as directed by the Lord.
