We Are His House

Dear Faith Partners,

On April 24, 2007, I was blessed with a vision by the Holy Spirit that gave me some personal information as to how the government of Faith Ministries should operate. Within the vision, one part has continued to remind me of the importance of who we are in relation to one another and other ministries.

Whether we represent an individual, a family, a church, or a ministry, we all face times of questioning our purpose and importance to God. The invitation to the pity party goes out to everyone on the devil’s mailing list. Never-the-less, God has a special place for each of us in His Kingdom plan.

Back to the vision: Toward the end, the Lord showed me a rock foundation. He then pointed out how a multitude of stone sizes had been used to make sure every gap was filled in. He pointed to a small to med size stone and said; that’s Faith ministries filling in the gap, which gives support to the larger stones on each side of it. I then noticed smaller stones next to ours helping support it, and heard the Lord say, that’s how it works.

If you have ever thought of yourself or your support insignificant to Faith Ministries, please think again with this vision in mind. No matter what the size of stone your support is, we have a perfectly fitted and necessary place for it to be in the rockwork of God’s house.

Paul the Apostle said it like this in Ephesians 2:20-22 NLT   We are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We who believe are carefully joined together, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. Through him you Gentiles are also joined together as part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.

I Peter 2:4-5 NLT tells us, Come to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple… And now God is building you, as living stones, into his spiritual temple.

To bring all of this to the lesson of the day in modern vernacular, we just want to say … you rock! Thank you for supporting Faith Ministries

Appreciative of You,

Calvin and Barbara

Nacozari Outreach Campaign

Pastors Juan and Maria De la Parra hosted the Nacozarimonthly campaign in their Nacozari church April 27-30.  On Wednesday, some of the pastors came in and joined people from the local church and spent 2 days going house-to-house inviting people to the campaign and ministering to them.    For the most part the people responded positively. Only one man met them with a machete. Many of the people attended services and activities.

For three mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, the church provided free sugar and blood pressure tests.  If they needed medical attention, Pastor Jesus Espinosa’s daughter, Dr. Sarai gave them medical council. During the same time, other women from Juan’s church were giving free haircuts.

Friday afternoon they had a children’s event for Día de Los Niños. About 250 children attended. The children loved it and each received a sack of goodies and gift.

It was a wonderful time of fellowship and worship. There were 11 churches represented at the meetings.

Chihuahua City Church

PCalvin and Barbara with the Maulus family.astors Luis and Miki Maulas and their family from Chihuahua City came to spend Easter vacation with their Papa & Mama Scott in Sonora. We had a precious time together!

Their church in Chihuahua City is growing in spite of the oppression they have experienced from the cartel. They have all the walls up and ½ of the roof. They need $4,000 to purchase materials for the rest of the roof.

Their three churches in the Batopilas area are starting to recover from the past year of severe cartel wars where about 90 men of this small community were murdered.
