Living Water

"Lets Do It, Do It Now!"

Dear Faithful Partners,

I used to work with a job pusher whose instructions to his men were always followed by, "Let’s do it, do it now!" Once his instruction was given, he expected immediate response from us.

I can’t help but wonder if our Lord Jesus would be the same kind of job pusher if He were standing here with us today. According to our Biblical record, it appears He spent His time doing and teaching others to do, rather than waiting for a better opportunity. He was always ready to save, heal, and deliver.

He was sent from God to save the world from perishing. He lived His life doing His part to save the world from perishing, and He has instructed us to do our part to save the world from perishing.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

Mark 16:15-16 And He said to them, Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

As you read the following lighthearted outline let your imagination unite with what God says to your spirit and hear Him say, "Let’s do it, do it now!"

In His Fields,

Lift up your eves and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! John 4:35

Greetings from Ruben, Maria Luisa, Lucy, & Ivan Serrato

Lucy, Maria, Ivan and Ruben SerratoWe want to thank you for your continued support through the years. Words can’t express how humbled we are to know that you believe in us. We pray that God meet your needs just as you help meet our need. Many, many times your love offerings have seen us through. Our hearts desire is that one day we want to go and thank you personally, to tell you and your congregation how great of a blessing you are to us and to the pueblos we minister.

Pastor Mario Rivera from the pueblo of Teonadepa, which is next to Cumpas fell ill in September of 2009 and was unable to tend his church. Pastor Mario was Maria Luisa’s pastor when she was growing up. Led of the Holy Ghost, moved with compassion, Maria and I stepped in to help tend the church. Since then we have helped organize the annual FCF meetings, VBS, and the Christmas programs.

Although Mario is totally healed now, we have bonded with him and the congregation. We have also started a youth group and a children’s ministry. We now have a total of 17 children and 8 youth. Pastor Mario is blessed to see the children and youth, as is the congregation. Lucy helps with the youth and Ivan is trying to help with the children. We are all so blessed with what God is doing here in Teonadepa.

Currently we are living in Douglas. I work at the Best Western hotel. Lucy in 7th grade and Ivan is in the 5th grade. We commute almost every weekend to Teonadepa, which is 114 miles one way. We continue on Wednesday nights with Faith Ministries Church with Pastors Calvin and Barbara. They just can’t seem to get rid of us. Just kidding, they are a gift of God to us.

Thank you for your offerings of love. They help us take the Gospel to the children and youth of Teonadepa. God bless you with a 110-fold return.

Finally, brethren, pray for us that the Word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified here in Mexico, II Thessalonians 3.

Living Water

If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.  John 7:37-38 NKJV

It is so important for us to drink from the fountain of life. What is flowing into us is what will flow out of us.

There are many different kinds of prayer, but one of the most important is to spend time in fellowship with our Father. Praising Him and exulting His majesty brings us into His presence, and then we need to take time to let His love and His life flow into us. You might say, Right now I’m not here to ask you anything or fight battles in prayer, I’m just here to soak up Your love and presence, letting Your Life, Your peace and Your joy fill me.

Ephesians 3:19 AMP explains it like this: [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!
