Choose Life

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus.  The words, choose life, have been resounding in our hearts.

God told His people in Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your decendants may live;  That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey His voice, and that you may cleave unto Him: for He is your life, and the length of your days…

The Kingdom of God is the life (blessing) side and the Kingdom of Darkness is the death (cursed) side. You can’t live on both sides. You are under the jurisdiction of whatever side you are on. That’s why it is so important to be quick to repent if you are in sin and get back on the blessing side of life.

Philippians 3:13-14  tells us …One thing I do, forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

We can’t move forward until we let go of the past. Let go of hurt, despair, resentment, care, heaviness, and strife. Quit looking back to the good ole days (or bad). You must let go to get into the flow of what the Spirit of the Lord is doing right now. If you m-o-v-e with the Spirit, He will take you to new victories and glory.

In John 6:63 Jesus tells us the words that I speak to you are spirit and life, so when we speak God’s Word we are imparting life into whatever situation we are addressing.

In Proverbs 18:21 we are told that death and life are in the power of the tongue. There is tremendous power in the spoken word!

In Genesis chapter one, the world was created by what God said. In Ezekiel 37:10, the dead dry bones lived because he prophesied life to them.

Prophecy is God speaking supernaturally through man. I Corinthians 14:1 tells us to Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

Prophetic declaration, according to the will of God, touches the spiritual realm, which then consequently effects change in the natural realm.

Are we in agreement with the Word of God and declaring prophetically?

As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord!
As for me and my nation, we shall serve the Lord!
I am healed by the stripes of Jesus!
God meets all my needs according to His riches in glory!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

In the Rieu translation, Matthew 18:18-19 declares, Here’s a part of the believers inheritance: Whatever you forbid, I’ll forbid. All of heaven stands at attention ready to back you up. But if you allow it, I have to allow it. Whatever decision you make, I’ll back you up.

Terrific power is given to the believer who honors Jesus’ name by exercising the spiritual energies within it (in other words, releasing our faith). So let’s set our lives and futures in order by choosing life and prophetically speaking in agreement with all that pertains to life.

Our feet skip across the mountains by your prayers and giving. Thank you!

In Life (more abundantly),

Barbara and Calvin

The Good News!

Octavio and Blanca - co-pastors in Moctezuma.
Oscar and Griselda Hoyos - pastors in Divisederos.
The Suja family - pastors in Tepache.

There has been lots of bad news about Mexico, but there are wonderful things happening that you won’t hear on the national news. Miracles are happening, people are being swept into the Kingdom of God, and churches are growing.

On March 27, the Lord said to us, "Increase Faith Ministries activities in Mexico. The rush is on." Now, as never before people are looking for answers. Jesus is the answer!

The fellowship meeting that Pastors Oscar and Griselda hosted in Divisederos was powerful. Representatives from nine churches attended.  When Oscar moved to Divisederos in the late 80’s, the people didn’t want him there. The city refused to give them a permit to build a church. Now, the church is highly favored. Recently the city government built them a large roof over the front of their church and some new rooms in the back. Here are pictures of some of the pastors we thought you would enjoy.
