Kona Faith Center Missions Trip
Troop Busters
Dear Troop Busters,
2 Samuel 22:29-30 NKJ For you are my lamp, O LORD: The LORD shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run through a troop: by my God I can leap over a wall.
Oh, I don’t know, somehow it sounded better than, Dear Wall Leapers. However you say it, we are in fact overcomers, in Spanish mas que vencedores, more than conquerors. Jesus our victor, is Jesus our victory, and by our persevering faith in Him, we overcome every thing the enemy throws at us.
Over in II Corinthians 2:14 MKJV we read Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and He revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place.
Wow! Embrace that! Embrace: now that’s an interesting word the Lord has had us using a lot lately. One of the things it strongly emphasizes is in order to embrace we may have to let go of something else, simply because we can’t fully embrace until our arms and hands are free to do so. Embracing what God says about us, helps prevent the deceptive lies of satan from becoming part of our lives.
Our trust in God and His Word has a lot to do with the amount of time we spend fellowshipping with Him in His Spirit. Fear and failure find no place to root in, when our hearts and minds are freshly filled with the victorious joy of
being embraced by Him. Yes, it’s a two-way deal. He embraces, we embrace, and when we’re all wrapped up with Him, the devil is scared to death to get close to us.
Psalms 91 likens it to a secret place, a fortress, a refuge. Oh well, let’s just read it. Verse 1-7 NKJV He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall take refuge: His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
If you have been hindered by a defeatist messenger, make a faith decision today to join the Troop-Buster Team by embracing what God says about you and become a world changer to the glory of God. Remember, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13) So get out there and bust some troops and leap some walls!
This ministry does not exist apart from your prayerful support. Thank you
In His Awesomeness,
Calvin and Barbara
Kona Faith Center Missions Trip
Once again, we were blessed to host a mission team led by Pastors Jason and Terry Meechan from Kona Faith Center in Kona, Hawaii (on the b ig island).
They came with anointed preaching, prophetic utterances, dramas, hula, and signing. They ministered in Douglas and then in six different churches in the Cumpas area. All of the local churches were edified and strengthened.
During the day, the men worked on a number of projects at the Cumpas mission station and in Jecori. The women started packing Christmas sacks for the Christmas Outreaches.
Besides all that, we had wonderful times of prayer, and a continual fiesta with lots of good food and much laughter.
Throughout this mission’s week, many of the Mexican pastors emphasized their appreciation for the visit from the Hawaiians, with much thanksgiving for the visitation of the Holy Spirit that was evident with their ministry of love.
Since 9/11, mission trips to their areas have been way down and with the present drug wars; many of God’s Faith Fighters are simply staying home. The determination of the Hawaiians to storm the gates of hell was very encouraging to everyone here on this front. Pray for heart peace and confidence among would be missionaries. And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15 See more photos on Facebook.
