What He Starts He Finishes
Dear Loved Ones,
Happy September! This is the month when we watch the summer season end and the autumn season begin. These seasonal changes are all part of God’s design to prevent stagnation and how He promotes seedtime and harvest in our natural world by its cycles.
Our spiritual lives also pass through seasons for similar purposes. This is a good thing, because most of us have things in our lives that need to finish up so we can embark on something new and hopefully better.
We’ve noticed lately how some folk are seemingly disappointed in God. They feel like He’s just not coming through for them. Sometimes it’s like God is nowhere to be found when they need help finishing up something they have started.
In prayer and mediation along these lines, we’ve come to scriptures that help clarify why things seem to be this way. Check this out!
Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (NLT) And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Here’s the message; notice that the work He finished is the work He started. He’s not obliged to finish something we started on our own or someone else assigned for us to do. Rather, what He starts, He finishes and what we start on our own we’re responsible for.
This should make us take inventory of what’s happening in our lives. What has failed? What has succeeded? Did we start something or did He start it? At times our lack of wisdom gets us involved with life’s assignments, even good works that may not be in the game plan with God. For us to find God in the picture and be receiving His blessing and the help we need, we must make sure what we’re doing is a result of something He started. What He starts (brings into our lives), He will finish because it’s His project and He’ll see it through to the finish line.
This makes me want to be sure of God’s will and timing before I take off on another ministry assignment. And as sure as heaven, we want to know it’s a God thing before we involve our lives in the lives of other people.
Let’s keep things we do in God’s Game Plan and we’ll not become responsible for trying to finish up some destined-to-fail, self-centered plan.
Well it’s time to close, so let’s use this verse found in the exact center of my old Kings James Bible, Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Thank you for supporting God’s Game Plan here at Faith Ministries.
In His Fields,
Calvin and Barbara

Many awesome reports have been coming in about this year's VBS programs. Pastor Alberto of Jecori said that never has there been such a hunger for the children to know God and His Word. There was a tangible presence of God.
The Suja’s of Tepache testified that the Lord provided all that they needed – food, candy, prizes, and even a piñata after they had already started. The children were so blessed that they want to start coming to Sunday School.
Thank you for investing in these precious children’s lives. The Word of God has been sown in 2800 children’s hearts in 40 towns. |

Jecori Miracle

In June, at the monthly campaign in Jecori, the mayor attended, was born again, and promised to help with some unfinished construction needs for their building.
To date he has done far more than he had promised. He has provided labor and materials to plaster the inside and outside of the church, put a sheet rock ceiling in and is making steps into the entrance, a total cost of at least $5,000.00. Hallelujah! |

Faith Family Reunion
|
|

Faith Family Reunion started on Thursday evening as people from our congregation went out into our community to invite people and share Jesus.
Then on Friday Bob and Miki gathered in Agua Prieta with 30 of their graduates from El Shaddai, many who do not have visas to cross the border.
Friday night Mitch and Nina Nelson and our music team led an outdoor service at a park. It started out raining, which cooled and freshened the air, and we ended up having a great time. There were many testimonies, including our grandson Nate telling about his recent trip to China. Bob preached a message and led everyone present in prayer. People were noticeably affected by this anointed outdoor service.
On Saturday there were three couples ordained. Throughout the day, the Holy Spirit spoke much about His presence in us makes us His temple and how recognizing this truth gives us the power of His Son for the purpose of changing the face of planet earth to reflect His will in every nation. As His representatives, operating in His Name and Authority, We become Christ (as His body) in the earth today.
On Sunday morning Pastor Desiderio from Hermosillo and Pastor Audulia from Tesia ministered powerfully under strong anointing. |
